It all started when three Johanssons had an idea
Trejon dates back to the mid-1940s. Entrepreneur Signar Johansson's company had six employees at the time. In the early 1960s, Signar opened a Gulf gas station in Vännäsby with an associated vehicle service workshop.
The first generational shift took place in the early 1970s when Signar’s sons Håkan, Lennart, and Roland took over the business. It was during this time that the company increasingly focused on becoming a supplier of machinery for agriculture, forestry, and construction.
The company experienced strong growth in the following years, with a clear focus on machinery trading.
In 1980, the business moved to newly built premises with a large display area on Företagsvägen in Vännäsby. In connection with the move, the brothers founded the company Trejon, which stands for "Three Johanssons." The company's business idea was to provide machinery and equipment for agriculture, forestry, parks, and construction through a nationwide network of dealers. This was a significant step in the company's future development – transitioning from a local player to a nationwide operator.
In 1986, Trejon began its own production and built its first product, the Trejon Optimal Snow Blower. In the first year, 220 units were manufactured. Over the following years, the product range grew, and a complete series of road maintenance machines was implemented into the Trejon Optimal family.
1999 was a pivotal year as Trejon became the largest single owner of a production facility in Tabivere, outside Tartu in Estonia. The entire production operation was moved there, and the range of machines expanded rapidly. Today, the facility is a modern plant with over 60 employees.
In 2009, Trejon premiered the Trejon Multiforest forestry program at Elmia Wood in Jönköping. Multiforest is a comprehensive range of forestry trailers with load capacities from 7–14 tons and folding or parallel cranes with reach from 5.1–8.9 meters. The production facility in Tabivere has also been expanded several times to handle the increasing volume and new products.
In 2011, the company underwent its second generational shift as Henrik and Anna Johansson, the third generation, took over the business. The company's vision remains as strong as ever: through our modern and diverse range of machinery, we provide users with a safe and cost-efficient daily experience. We place our customers at the center with our high level of service.
