Flexible chain mower with up to 5.28 m reach
Trejon presents the Trejon Optimal M1250 Storm – a chain mower developed to meet the market’s increasing demands for extended reach and flexible movement.
The machine is designed to efficiently cut entire ditches, including back slopes, as well as for visibility clearing high in the vertical direction. The chain head is fully hydraulically driven through its own hydraulic system, ensuring full functionality in all working positions.
Trejon has more than 20 years of experience in developing and manufacturing chain mowers, and the M1250 Storm builds on the proven predecessor M1250. The design includes, among other features, a chain head built entirely from Hardox steel and a collision protection system that automatically lifts the machine when it folds backwards upon hitting an obstacle.
New geometry for increased reach and freedom of movement
The M1250 Storm is equipped with a new geometry that provides a larger range of movement and a total reach of up to 5.28 meters from the tractor’s center. The proven parallelogram solution closest to the tractor has been complemented with a telescopic extension in the dipper arm, providing both improved reach and increased flexibility in operation.
The cutting head is equipped with a built-in float position in the driving direction for smooth and consistent ground following.
Hydraulic operation and control
The machine’s four functions – parallelogram movement, lifting, telescopic extension, and head angling – are controlled via direct-acting hydraulics. This provides a robust and reliable solution with high precision in all working positions.
The chain head can be angled for work on back slopes and can operate continuously up to 90 degrees in the vertical direction.
The independent hydraulic system consists of an axial piston pump, hydraulic motor, and a 160-liter oil tank, positioned as a counterweight for optimal balance.
An oil cooler is standard mounted on the tank. Thanks to high-quality components and high system pressure, the machine achieves high efficiency and strong power output at the head.
The service hatch is manually operated as standard, with hydraulic operation available as an option.
Built for demanding clearing work
The Trejon Optimal M1250 Storm is developed for demanding operations in varying terrain. The robust construction makes it well suited for clearing ditches and other brush-heavy areas, where tree residues and brush are effectively shredded to reduce regrowth.
The high ground clearance at the joint between the boom and dipper arm facilitates work along guardrails, low fences, and enclosures.
The machine is easily connected to the tractor via PTO and hydraulics with pressure and free return. The well-thought-out design with few moving parts contributes to simple servicing and low maintenance costs.
