Efficient brush clearing in demanding environments – this is how Elias Boman works with the Trejon M1650H.
In the work along powerline corridors outside Luleå, the terrain places high demands on machines and equipment. The Trejon M1650H provides the power, precision, and durability required for continuous brush clearing—something machine operator Elias Boman quickly experienced in his daily work.
In northern Sweden, just outside Luleå, the family-owned company Rep & Förartjänst AB operates a broad range of excavation services and machine transport. When the need arose for a powerful and reliable chain cutter, the choice fell on a hydraulic cutter from Trejon – the M1650H.
Rep & Förartjänst AB is run by “Pappa Boman” together with his son, Elias Boman, who works as a machine operator in the company. They take on everything from excavation assignments to machine transport, and on the day of our visit, we meet Elias out in the field clearing brush along powerline routes outside Luleå using his excavator equipped with a Trejon Optimal M1650H hydraulic chain cutter.
“The choice fell on a chain cutter from Trejon because it looked three times more robust than the other units on the market.”
– Elias Boman
The solid construction and powerful performance made Trejon stand out immediately for Elias – a work tool that feels built for heavy-duty conditions.
Keeps working – even when the snow comes
When we visit Elias, a thin layer of snow covers the ground, but the work continues. With Trejon’s hydraulic chain cutter, they can keep clearing brush well into the winter season, allowing for longer operational periods and better utilization of the machine.
“We can keep clearing brush in up to four decimeters of snow – as long as it’s not wet snow.”
– Elias Boman
When clearing thicker brush, Elias uses a 13 mm chain instead of a 10 mm one, giving him the strength and cutting capacity needed for tougher conditions.
Smart modifications for rough terrain
To move even more efficiently in uneven terrain, Elias has adapted his excavator with a self-made support foot. This allows him to lift the machine and move forward without putting stress on the cutter head – protecting the equipment and simplifying the workflow.
Variety in the workday – and a tool to rely on
When Elias is not operating the excavator, you’ll often find him behind the wheel of a truck or a wheel loader. He enjoys the variety of his work, but the chain cutter has become an essential tool whenever brush needs to be cleared and powerline corridors kept open.
“The chain cutter is a great tool together with the excavator, which can get you almost anywhere. It gives you excellent reach and allows you to work efficiently.”
– Elias Boman
With the Trejon Optimal M1650H, Rep & Förartjänst AB has gained a powerful, reliable, and efficient tool capable of handling demanding brush clearing throughout much of the year – helping them deliver high-quality results to their clients.
