Efficient and quiet farm operations – how Jens and Sandra simplify everyday work with the right machine
When everyday work on the farm requires strength, agility and reliability, the choice of machinery becomes crucial. In this customer case, Jens and Sandra Ivarsson share their operation and explain how the right equipment contributes to more efficient and quieter work – both outdoors and inside with the animals.
In Vederslöv, Jens and Sandra Ivarsson run two farms with dairy and beef production. With around 300–350 cows and heifers, they have built their operation from the ground up – investing in smart solutions that simplify everyday work and strengthen their long-term future.
Jens started the farming business in 2006. Shortly after, he built a calf barn and met Sandra at a dance event. Together, they have developed the farm step by step, building a barn, a loose-housing system and installing a milking robot. They also lease an additional farm where they keep their bulls. The journey has not always been easy, but through hard work and strong passion they have created the business they run today.
An electric investment that simplifies daily work
This spring, Jens and Sandra invested in a Trejon Flexitrac iON from Uråsa Maskinaffär, a dealer they have worked with extensively. The Flexitrac is used, among other things, to transport bales to the bulls at the leased farm – a task that requires both strength and agility.
-”The advantage of the iON Flexitrac is that it is electric, smooth and easy to operate. It is very strong for its size and has an SMS attachment, which means we can use the implements we already have on the farm,” says Jens Ivarsson.
Sandra also highlights practical benefits in everyday use – especially when working close to the animals and indoors.
Sandra adds that the Flexitrac iON has very good battery life and is easy to charge, requiring only a standard power outlet. She also points out that it offers good visibility, is responsive to drive and is excellent to use indoors with the animals, as it has no exhaust fumes and no engine noise.
A future-ready and sustainable choice
A key reason for choosing an electric compact loader was the opportunity to receive a climate-compensated investment grant. The support made it possible to invest in fossil-free machinery – an important step towards more sustainable farming and long-term operational efficiency.
Jens and Sandra emphasize the importance of researching available support options and seeking professional guidance during the application process to maximize funding opportunities.
A machine they gladly recommend
Finally, we asked whether they would recommend the Trejon Flexitrac iON to others.
-”We can absolutely recommend the Flexitrac iON to others since it runs on electricity, has no fuel costs, is easy to charge and operate. In addition, it delivers full power from zero and can be used indoors,” Jens Ivarsson.
They also conclude that the overall economy of the product is very good, partly due to the electric drive, and partly because the total investment cost was improved thanks to the climate-compensated investment support.
