"I cut my sand usage in half” – why Leif chose the Trejon Optimal SP1000

Leif Jonsson has tested several spreading solutions – but none have performed like the Trejon Optimal SP1000. Here, he explains why the self-loading function and the dual rollers make all the difference.

In Vadet outside Hörnefors, Leif Jonsson runs his part-time business alongside his retirement. During winter he works with snow clearing and sanding – and the Trejon Optimal SP1000 has quickly become one of the most essential tools in his daily work.

Self-loading function that transforms the workflow

One of the main reasons Leif chose the Trejon Optimal SP1000 was its self-loading capability. This feature allows him to fill the spreader without additional machines or extra handling.

“The self-loading is a huge advantage. I manage with just one machine since I can lower the spreader, back into the sand pile and fill it up.”
Leif Jonsson

For Leif, this means a smoother workflow and greater flexibility in his winter operations.

Dual rollers for even and efficient spreading

The Trejon Optimal SP1000 is equipped with dual rollers, something Leif immediately noticed the benefit of. The two rollers ensure that the material flows down more easily and mixes more effectively during operation.

“The dual rollers help the material flow better and give a very even and clean spreading result.”
Leif Jonsson

Previously, Leif worked with a single-roller spreader and a traditional sanding beam, where the material often stuck and the results varied. With the SP1000 he achieves a far more consistent spread.

Material consumption cut in half

One of the most impressive outcomes has been the significant reduction in sand consumption. Leif immediately saw the difference after switching to the SP1000.

“Much less material is used now compared to before. I have almost cut the consumption in half.”
Leif Jonsson

This means lower costs, reduced waste and a more efficient winter maintenance process.

A spreader he gladly recommends

The SP1000 has become a reliable and valuable tool for Leif thanks to its hydraulic function, spreading performance and user-friendly design. When asked if he would recommend the spreader to other contractors, his answer is clear:

“Absolutely – especially because it is self-loading.”
Leif Jonsson

For Leif, the Trejon Optimal SP1000 has meant fewer work steps, more precise spreading, and significantly improved efficiency during the winter months.
